DSDT GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 v1.3 F11

I have an Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 v1.3 with Firmware F11.

But the DSDTs are only availabel up to Firmware F10.

Can i use the F10-DSDT with my F11-Firmware Mainboard?

System:

- CPU Intel Core i5 2500K
- HD3000 gfx card
- MB Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 v1.3 F11
- RAM 8GB Kingston HyperX LoVo DDR3L-1600 DIMM CL9-9-9 Dual-Kit
- DVD Plextor PX-L890SA DVD-Brenner
- HDD 2TB Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST2000DM001 SATA6

I don't think you can use the F10-DSDT with the F11 BIOS as there may be unexpected problems. You can still install Lion and use it without DSDT. I don't use a DSDT with my system and I don't mind since I don't care about sleep functions.

Ok, then i will update from Snow Leopard 10.6.8 to Lion if this helps.

Hey atlanx, Another alternative is to make your own DSDT following samisnake's great guide - viewtopic.php?f=14&t=35559

Your system will run better with fewer non-standard kexts. Following this guide you'll have your very one DSDT and you could even upload it to the forum for the next person looking for v11.

I've used dsdt downloaded from this site on the Lion 10.7.3 with Bios version F11 - all fully working, except the function for reducing the frequency of the CPU when idle

Try to run MultiBeast with Speedstep checked, and System Utilites and see if that helps.

In this thread http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=54180&start=0&hilit=ud3H+f11 the second poster has attached a DSDT for this board and bios F11, so hope that works.

I'm also thinking about this board so was banking on this DSDT to work initially while I learn how to write my own
