I've seen a few instances of folks getting their X7DCA-L up and running. Does anyone have a DSDT the X7DCA-L they can share?

Thanks!

Starting to work on an X7DCA-L as well. Any suggestions/hints, etc are greatly appreciated in advance. Thx.

Screenshot taken. Hopefully I am getting this right.

Thanks again in advance.

Not sure why there is no Audio information in the screenshot.
Googled it and found out that the board has ALC888.

Complete the installation and run Multibeast with below settings.

Unzip the attached DSDT and keep it on the desktop.

UserDSDT or DSDT-Free Installation
Drivers & Bootloaders > Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALC8xx > withDSDt > ALC888 legacy
Disk > 3rd Party SATA
TRIM 10.8.1 (Only if you have SSD else ignore this option)
Ethernet should work OOB else install - Network > Intel
System > Patched AppleIntelCPUPowermanagement.kext > 10.8.1
Customization > Boot options > 1080p Boot screen.

Thanks so much! I will send screenshots on completion.
Let me know if I can ever return the favor.

Wondering if anyone got his X7DCA board working?

I'm stuck at boot. Currently at "PCI Configuration begin".

Tried a bunch of boot flags and installed the DSTD from above.

I wonder if it has something to do with the HPET option that is not listed in my bios setting. I only have a setting for Multimedia Timer, the same thing apparently...

If anyone can share bios settings that would be great.

I have the X7DCA-3 board, I hope they are somewhat similar.

Also if anyone has any suggestions for updating a bios without having to install DOS or windows?

Cheers!
Karel.

Hi kareldc, i read in your signature that you are using an Supermicro X8DTi-F rig with dual xeons. I have currently an tyan based rig with intel 5000x chipset (which was only rebranded for siemens), and is running mavericks flawlessly, although is a bit aged and in want to move forward. Is your setup working ok ? Did you had any problems when installing osx ? thank you.

Hi,

I had no real big issues so far, the only issue was a complete system freeze at one point. This happened twice. But I checked my logs and I think is was adobe premiere related and possibly connected to the GTX 660 that I use as well.

I have done very long encodes on it where all 12 cores were 100% stressed for a very long time and never had any issues.

Cheers!
K.
