Done a clean install of Lion - No sound

Hi All,

Just done a clean install of Lion,

Everything works just as before, but no sound, did multibeast 3.8 audio rollback, nothing.

Any help will be appreaciated.

Did you get sound working with Snow Leopard? If so, are you using the same multibeast procedure/audio kexts?

Have you tried shutting down the computer, unplugging it from wall, hitting power button as if to turn it on, plugging back in, and powering on?

I have the same issue. Only I upgraded from Snow Leopard 10.6.8 (VoodooHDA was working then) to Lion 10.7.0. I installed all different versions of VoodooHDA and it says the Kext loaded, but no audio! more on that at this topic!

My sound was set to SPDIF out after the install,
had to change it to Line Out in the Sound preferences panel.

Never got it fixed, in the end I just gave up, reformatted install SL 10.6.6 and then installed Lion using Xmove.

Tony did say that they are working on a way to do a clean install.

I'll just wait for that guide
