Hi there, try following the second part of the guide posted below. You probably need to install 10.6.4 and perhaps use multibeast to help you with kext support. Also, you may need to grab the official graphics update from Apple. I know little about support for 4000 series cards, but as far as I'm aware, the pervious high end card apple offered with desktops was a 4870. Therefore I'm confident that getting it to work with your hack is going to be easier than with 5000 series cards. Let me know how updating to 10.6.4 and grabbing the update goes.

I thought that one of the needed workarounds for 4850's was to be using the video buffer/kexts from 10.6.2 - unless you use a DVI-VGA dongle?

Perhaps that is out of date info, but may be worth checking out.
(Perhaps that was what the kext you referred to in earlier post was...)
