Does Gigabyte GT 740 Supports on Sierra

I just bought a EVGA Geforce GT 740 because I read it was supported out of the box. Sierra doesn't recognize it. My only display option is 1280x1024. System Overview says I only have 5MB of VRAM.

I installed the NVIDIA web drivers for Sierra 10.12.1. The web driver control panel doesn't even see the card. Am I doing something wrong?

Do you have nv_disable=1 in your Clover config.plist ? If yes, remove it and try again.

Another ? Do you have the DDR3 version or DDR5 version of the 740 ?

When I change nv_disable=1 to 0, MacOS won't finish booting to the desktop. It stops at 90% and then my monitor shuts off. I have the DDR5 version.

Start a new support thread in graphics to get help with this. This isBuying Advice and this thread was started by someone else asking about whether to buy a 740 not about how to get it working. Thanks in advance.
