Hi all,

Some weeks ago Samsung introduced some new M2 NVM SSDs. I wanted to purchase the older 970 Evo model to create a dual boot system for my Intel Skull Canyon . The new drive is only slightly more expensive and I don't mind the additional 1000 MB/s write speeds. Are there any users that have been using this drive in their builds?

I have just tried a Samsung 970 EVO PLUS on High Sierra. Unfortunately it is not stable. I've had to unplug it.

same problem here Sierra 10.13.4 with my old Evo 970 is solid no problems , bought a Evo 970 plus 1 tb 2 days a go and can't get it to stable , it is recognised and loads to desktop but within a few minutes system shuts down :-( , fresh install would fail , but I did manage to clone to it and boot off it but would fail again after a few minutes , do we know why they don't work is it a hardware limitation or driver support ?

Damn, bought two (1tb and 500gb) and same issue. Should've looked beforehand!
If anyone figures out the issue please do post here (even if it's been a while!)

@RehabMan I have the same problem. Is not stable

Damn I just bought one and stuck on installation too, any ideas why it is not stable? @RehabMan ?

I have bought a 1TB one as well and saw that it it doesn't work so I got a 250GB regular 970 EVO for now. I still get a hang sometimes because it's connected.
How do you get stuck on installation? does it just freeze or restarts?
