Direct Update to macOS Sierra using Clover

Thanks for the advice. I was able to move forward a bit. After the reboot, selected Boot Mac OS X and got stuck here forever. Please see the attached screen.

Update was getting stuck for me to at that point also. You should boot in verbose to see exactly where it's hanging. Mine was stuck at "kexts wait (0): AppleACPICPU." I fixed it when I realized I had accidentally mounted and moved the kexts in to the 'other' folder in the wrong EFI partition. After I correctly mounted the EFI partition of my boot drive and moved the kexts into the proper 'other' folder, the installation moved right along.

Easy update - I did the direct update using Clover. Was struggling with Realtek ALC 1150 audio - did not have any output devices.
Had to copy updated config.plist from /EFI/CLOVER to /EFI/CLOVER/OEM/Z97X-UD5H/UEFI.
Sound working now.

Update successful. The only problem I had was Clover version v2.3k_r3763. Used v2.3k_r3726 instead.

Repairing disk permissions is not working with kext wizard in macOS Sierra. It directly rebuilds system caches! Any solution?

I had successfully upgraded from El Capitan to Sierra but now it no longer recognizes my 750Ti even after install the latest nVidia web driver, just boot and no signal at all while the HD4600 is still ok. Anybody can help? Thanks

If you follow tonymacx86's and my procedures in posts #1 and #2, you will only need to run toleda's updated audio driver script which is located in his sticky thread in the Sierra Desktop Support forum section. However, make sure you're running an acceptable System Definition as a lot of older Macs are not supported in Sierra. Use an iMac14,2 system definition which you can change in El Capitan using MultiBeast v8.2.3 by just changing the System Definition to iMac14,2.

UniBeast and MultiBeast for Sierra will be out shortly. There were problems with Clover that kept Sierra running properly or both the "Beasts" would have been out by now. So, if you're not in a hurry (and I wouldn't be), wait a couple of days for the "Beasts".

Out of curiosity, is anyone else noticing a much longer boot time with Sierra? Mine's about three-times the load time. Everything else is good.
