We had an 16 bay NAS array with a Hackintosh Yosemite ‘brain’ running from an attached Solid State drive in that has suddenly died.

We are no longer in contact with the person that set it up. We desperate to get it back up and running but we are lost and need help. We have contacted multiple technicians and no-one seems to know how to do this. All the specs and pics are below.

We managed to make a Carbon Copy of the SSD before it died. We copied it to a new SSD but the BIOS would not recognise it.

I have attempted to create a new Boot USB using Clover_r5146.pkg but the server says "ReBoot and Select proper Boot device or insert Boot Media and press a key. I was told a legacy version was the way to go?

Any step by step advice for someone who isn't an IT expert really appreciated!

Dan

If it is dead where are your screenshots coming from ?

I managed to get these before it died. Some strange things were happening so I did a CC backup and took those pics.
I'm sure there were probably 10 more helpful things I should have done if I knew what I was doing!

Is there any hope?

The images posted have todays timestamps yet you first posted about this problem back in June.

It is difficult to give you instructions when you have little idea of the process involved.

This guide should enable you to build an installer flash drive that you can use to boot the system :
