Desktop feels laggy and chrome very slow

I'd say that this is a macOS problem and not caused by your Hackintosh configuration.

On my 2017 iMac (4,2 GHz Intel Core i7, 1TB SSD, 16GB RAM, Radeon Pro 580 8 GB), I seem to have the same behavior:

High Sierra seems very slow ... changing tabs, opening windows, showing/hiding the dock, etc.

I have now patched ACPI and used Toleda's native power management tutorial and refreshed kexts and it _seems_ to have restored some power but there is still noticeable lag!

Same here as everyone else, OpenGL works good but the UI is laggy, especially using the Photos app. It's almost unusable, takes forever to just scroll and arrow through a couple photos.
I'm on 10.13.2 APFS
Anyone think this could be a APFS issue?

Nope.
Upgraded from 10.12.6 to 10.13.2 last weekend with APFS, and everything worked fine.
However, when I updated to 10.13.3 this afternoon, all the problems show up.
It's more likely to be a MacOS problem.

It's a problem with the NVIDIA drivers for 10.13.3 (156/157)! If you install the 10.13.2 drivers (106) using the backwards compatible tool linked below, then everything goes back to normal. No Lag.

Driver versions can be found here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/nvidia-drivers/

1. Install the latest driver (156/157)
2. Use the `Webdriver All Versions.app` to install 106 driver
- If you need a DL link for the app, here it is https://drive.google.com/open?id=1hI4dqVZ621fPeKR6YFoLFQGD-ciiZ3xO
- Open the app, choose „Webdriver neu installieren“ („Reinstall web driver“), choose the old webdriver *.pkg file – the app installs the old driver.
3. Restart the app
4. choose „Vorhandenen Webdriver Patchen“ („patch existing web driver“)
– click through, choose „Rechte bereinigen“ („correct permissions“) enter admin password
5. Reboot using the button on the app (takes a few moments)

Updated to 10.13.3 again just now and tried this patch. Though it's still slightly laggy when switching from other spaces to chrome, everything else works just perfectly.

I went through your instructions but when I select the old webdriver (106), I get an error that says "No web driver chosen!" and the "Abort" button (see image). I tried it several times and confirmed I have 156 installed (157 won't install because I don't have the correct version of 13.3.3).

Any idea what I'm missing/messing up?
