Dell XPS 18 - Is it possible?

Nothing attached. No idea what you mean by "your wifi next".
That should have said "KEXT" but my phone thought otherwise. And the post has been updated with the picture. My apologies.

EDIT: It's not the wifi kext... I uninstalled it and rebooted and it's still doing it. So.... I will have to continue with Multibeast installation to get everything else going.

Any idea why it would be doing this? See pic.

All I did was install your wifi next (since it's the same as mine) and reboot. Now this.

I haven't installed clover yet. Might that be the case?

Enable legacy/CSM boot in BIOS and the scramble should go away. It will also go away with backlight control implementation.

Not much in Multibeast for laptops...

Right... I'm figuring that out... how do I get the /Extra folder? I do not have one, even after running "show all files"

EDIT: I know before that it was obtained by running multibeast, but this version of multibeast is completely different...

does this mean turn legacy on, but still boot with UEFI? Legacy mode is still enabled. I dont see anything with CSM in my BIOS. I installed the backlight kext, but without the /Extra folder, I have nowhere to save a new dsdt with the brightness fix patch applied.

CSM is usually enabled with legacy boot, but sometimes it is a separate option (CSM = Compatibility Support Module).

But implementing backlight control will often fix it, as will choosing an appropriate setting in config.plist/GUI/ScreenResolution, as will closing the lid and re-opening it.

ACPI patching guide is linked from the FAQ: http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.164990/

(Hint: Clover does not use /Extra).

I'm guessing, then, that it's all in /EFI/Clover?

The location for patched ACPI files is clearly noted in the guide.
Okay... I'm completely LOST.

I'm about to reinstall el capitan because my screen is still glitching and it's giving me a headache. I installed the backlight kext and did a dsdt patch for backlight and it's still glitching.

SO first, I follow this guide (which is mostly done because I already have a USB made). http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

Then, I follow this guide?
http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-native-power-management-for-laptops.175801/

And then THIS guide?

Attach ioreg as ZIP: http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/58368-guide-how-make-copy-ioreg.html. Please, use the IORegistryExplorer v2.1 attached to the post! DO NOT reply with an ioreg from any other version of IORegistryExplorer.app.

Provide output (in Terminal):

kextstat|grep -y acpiplat
kextstat|grep -y appleintelcpu
kextstat|grep -y applelpc
kextstat|grep -y applehda

Attach EFI/Clover folder as ZIP (press F4 at main Clover screen before collecting). Please eliminate 'themes' directory. Provide only EFI/Clover, not the entire EFI folder.

Attach output of (in Terminal):
Code:
sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions && sudo kextcache -u /

Compress all files as ZIP. Do not use external links. Attach all files using site attachments only.

Yes.

Note that power management and ACPI are things you already had to do before for Chimera/Chameleon. Only the location of the ACPI files have changed (and a few settings in config.plist instead of org.chameleon.Boot.plist).
