I'm hoping to revive a discussion from the old forums (link) about the Dell XPS 13 'ultrabook'. I have one incoming, and like any system that comes into my possession, I'm doing some research on how to get OS X running.
The Intel HD3000 video appears to be supported (link)
The wifi/bluetooth is supposedly of the non-supported Centrino variety, but ayilm1 in the old thread mentioned the Azurewave AW-NB037H, which would work 'without a hitch'. So I'll pick up one of those. It doesn't look too bad to install (link). hspfriend here (link) says it uses Atheros AR9285 and AR3011 chipsets, which does in fact seem to have some support (link).
Otherwise I'll try extracting the DSDT in Ubuntu (link) and hope for the best.
One wrinkle, I'll need to patch the installer for MBR, as I can't lose the Windows 7 partition for unavoidable reasons. I've heard there are patches out there somewhere.
For now I wait, but I'll update once things start arriving. Does anyone else have experience with this laptop? Any input is welcome.
