I'm getting the prohibition sign halfway into the progress bar when booting from Mac OS Mojave USB installer. This is a SandyBridge Processor, therefore I'm using Mojave Patcher to create the USB Drive then using the following EFI Folder (see attached) similar to the Sandy Bridge ThinkPad x220 which also has HD 3000 Graphics. (I have disabled the discrete graphics in my laptop since it doesn't have compatibility with Mojave using the boot arg: "GraphicsEnabler=No")

Here are my specs:

◦ CPU

◦ Intel Core i5 (2nd Gen) 2430M / 2.4 GHz Sandy Bridge

▪ Chipset Type

▪ Mobile Intel HM67 Express

▪ Graphics Processor

▪ Intel HD Graphics 3000 + HD 6630M (Discrete Not Used since it isn't supported in Mojave )

▪ 4G 1333 MHz RAM

Boot with verbose mode to find out where the installer is stuck. -v as boot arg in clover. Then you could proceed. Also remove the AppleKeyAggregator-64.efi and AppleKeyFeeder-64.efi from drivers folder of Clover/EFI. They have been known to cause problem with latest build.

I don’t have AppleKeyAggregator-64.efi and AppleKeyFeeder-64.efi in my drivers folder. The verbose process stops at the following command (see attachment). I’ve also included the efi file list in my drivers64 folder in clover.

hd3000 not supported in mojave, best to use high Sierra unless you can disable intel graphics in BIOS

Intel HD 3000 works without metal support in Mojave using Mojave Patcher with minor bugs. The following EFI folder works great on Thinkpad x220 with sandy Bridge i5 and hd 3000. My machine Dell Vostro 3450 has similar specs sandy Bridge i5 and HD 3000 with HD 6630M (However I have disabled the discrete card due to incompatibility with Mojave using “graphicsenabler=no” boot args). So the problem isn’t caused by the HD 3000.

graphicsenabler=no has no function in clover

I have completely removed the Radeon gpu by disconnecting it from the power rails, hence it doesn’t show up in hardware monitor when running windows. However, I am encountering this issue now when getting to the installer, “cpu3 has no hpet assigned to it” followed by the circle of death and a reboot. (Even tried booting in safe mode)

drivers64UEFI folder is not per guide

config.plist needs updating to latest version

clover/kexts/other is not per guide

re read the guide and follow as is:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

as hd3000 is not supported on Mojave then you may want to go back to High Sierra

I will try rehabman’s laptop clover configs however I am sure that the intel hd 3000 works in Mac OS Mojave since the Thinkpad x220 works just fine with that igpu
