Dell Vostro 1500 network not working.

Hi all,

I got my vostro working. everything works! BUT...... ethernet and wifi!

it should be a broadcom 440x. but what i see on my bios of the vostro 1500 is
Modem Controller = Conexant HDA D330 MDC

but either ways, wifi is using a dell 1390.


so what i've done but has not served the purposed
installed IONetworkingFamily.kext
Installed AppleBCM440xEthernet.kext
installed AppleRTL8139Ethernet.kext
installed IO80211Family.kext

Edited IONetworkingFamily.kext by placing the AppleBCM440xEthernet.kext file into the contents (under plugin)

nothing seems to be working.

please help!

What steps did you take to get your vostro running Tonymac? I am currently trying to install and any help/guides would be great

i have a vostro too, and i get working ethernet and wifi. My wifi card is a Broadcom 94311 and the system recognizes it with no extra kext, check what card do yo have.

And the Lan card works with AppleBCM440XEthernet.kext, install the kext with kext utility and add max_valid_dma_addr=1024 to kernel flags in com.apple.boot.plist
