Hi, I'm currently running Catalina 10.15.7 on my T1700 with Core i5-4590 and HD Graphics 4600. I'm using Clover because I couldn't get OpenCore to boot into the Installer. Also I'm desperately trying to get Audio (ALC280) to work. Can you please share your EFI? Thank you so much

Hi;

I have followed the installation guide on OpenCore, but I am stuck at: lilu disabling dispatcher.

I am attaching my EFI folder if you have time to have a look. I have tried to disable PCI in BIOS, but it did not do any good. My BIOS version is A28. (Dell Precision T1700)

Thank you in advance.

You need to put your T1700 hardware into your profile or add it to your signature so others know exactly what CPU and graphics you are using. That is mandatory to get any help and it's part of the rules too.

Here's one hint for you. If you don't remove the CFG lock you'll have no chance to install Big Sur on a T1700.

Sorry, my fault. Thought I was in a thread of the same PC. Corrected.

Thanks for the hint. I tried to modify config.plist for CFG Lock as there is nothing about it in the BIOS. Still I am stuck at Lilu.

Dell hides the BIOS setting for CFG lock so the only way to modify it is to boot into a modified grub shell and change the offset that way. May be best if you install Catalina instead of Big Sur. Catalina works without unlocking CFG.

Follow this guide and install Catalina.
Dell uses the exact same Q87 motherboard for the 9020 and the T1700. Only the BIOS is slightly different between them. 99% of it is the same.

Thank you for the hint. I will try to figure out, how to unlock CFG. If not; then I'll try Catalina.

@vdkam
Maybe you could tell me how did you manage to get it work.

Hi,
Shall I kindly ask for your efi.zip folder? I'm not able to run OpenCore on the T1700.

Are you using the default Network card or did you replaced it? My Big Sur boot stuck at line: "ifnet_attach: All kernel threads created for interface lo0 have been scheduled at least once. Proceeding." Any idea what could be the issue? Thanks
