i would like a bootloader other than iboot dvd that actually works please.
iBoot works fine - I used 3.3.0 to boot Snow Leopard Retail. Downloaded 10.6.8 combo update. Installed option using MultiBeast 3.10.1 - then set up my ethernet using the link in this comment/thread:

I used the following basic MultiBeast Options for Snow Leopard: EasyBeast & hnak's AppleIntelE1000e Ethernet
After a reboot you should be able to boot from HDD/SSD and sign in to the App Store and download Yosemite using your Apple id.
What processor and graphics are you using?
