If your graphics are Intel GMA 4500MHD, you should be be aware that no version of OS X supports that graphics chip.

Apologies for digging up such an old thread but I came across this when looking for info on making a hackintosh out of my E6400.

Does this mean an E6400 with Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics is essentially useless as a hackintosh? Can it not be done?

Thought I'd ask before I start wasting my time!

It can be done but without properly working graphics.... no QE/CI. OS X is very painful without QE/CI.

Define "following error" (read your own post).

I am using chimera instead of clover since that is what the instructions said. How can I fix this on Chimera

Attach /Extra folder as ZIP (without 'Themes').

Please provide complete details in your profile/signature
(Profile/Settings link in upper right corner of this site)

Mobo: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
Mobo: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

Note: When specifying your bootloader, if using Clover legacy, please be sure to specify "Clover legacy"). Specifying "Clover" will be assumed as "Clover UEFI"

So I updated my details:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo P8600
MoBo: Dell Latitude E6400 given MoBo (Chimera)
Graphics: NVidia Quadro 160M

Now how do I attach. I tried to drag and drop, but it doesnt work
