enable legacy/csm in bios?

Link to laptop guide:

Hi @verlixx, I have this same model laptop and if your BIOS is above version A11 it will experience screen corruption issues with macOS versions prior to 10.13 and only minor issues at or above that. This can be fixed with the Clover framebuffer patch here.

When I get the chance I can post my EFI folder and it should help you with setting up your system.

Legacy mode is enabled in BIOS.

If I understand, I have to put this patch into config.plist under Devices > Properties section and also changed the hex values in AppleIntelFramebuferCapri.kext which, I will later put into my CLOVER/KEXT folder?

It will be great if you could share the EFI folder.

Correct. Specifically if you're using Whatevergreen.kext for Framebuffer patching. It must be formatted in reverse byte order too. The details are covered in the guide.

If you mean Clover KextAndKernelPatching that would be used instead of the Whatevergreen.kext approach. It's one or the other not both. If going that way just use the config.plist code from the linked post.

It will be great if you could share the EFI folder.

I will as soon as I get home this evening. I'm thinking about doing a fresh install of Mojave at some point and creating a guide for this laptop.

OK, I've attached the current EFI folder from my laptop. You can copy it to your ESP, boot from it first and should have a good place to start. Here are a few things to consider:

  • You'll need to generate a CPU power management SSDT because you have a different processor. See the laptop power management guide.
  • You'll want to generate a unique serial number and SmUUID for your SMBIOS configuration.
  • I've disabled the EHC1/2 patches since the laptop ports should all be working OOB and you can create a custom SSDT for USBInjectAll.kext later.
  • You'll need to obtain a compatible wifi card and the onboard Bluetooth will work with Rehabman's drivers.
  • Brightness keys (on the arrows) should be working. Fn+Prnt Scrn returns F13 and can be used for Screen Shots functions under keyboard settings in System Preferences.
  • Audio supports laptop speakers/headjack/docking station with the customized AppleALC.kext file included.
That should be the main customization tasks to perform. See how it goes.

Tks for save my hack, I have tried with another sources, but I couldn get it works. Your file make boot go on and I got install using a mouse and keyboard usb, can you help me to active these? I'll test the audio later.

Let me know how it's going and I'll see what I can suggest.
