[Solved] Dell Invalid configuration information error

Hi, I'm knew to the hackintosh scene. Honestly I have no idea what I'm doing.

System is a Dell Optiplex 780
Motherboard:Intel Q45 Express
CPU:Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 / 3 GHz
Graphics:Radeon HD 6450
I'm not 100% sure if it's Mac OS compatible or not.

I have been trying to install High Sierra on it. I get all the way to the second install screen but I keep getting an error once it begins installing the OS on the hard drive. It stops, reboots and I'm greeted with this screen. (See attached pic) I don't know what it means. I've tried different bios configurations, updating the bios, different HD, running verbose mode, safe mode, and I always get this same screen.

Any advice would much appreciated thank you.

I think I am right in saying you need to go into the BIOS and change IDE to SATA - it's been a long time since Ive been confronted with the choice of IDE or Sata.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I did look for that setting, but I'm pretty sure my mother board does not even have IDE. Anyway I was able to install Mac OS on my dell using Time machine recover from my MacBook. Not what I wanted to do, but it installed without any errors.
