Hey guys, i have succesfully created a Hackintosh Desktop one year ago and now im searching for a laptop thats OS X compatible.
After some research, I found out, that the Dell Inspiron Series are quite hackintoshable, but only older models like the 15 5559 and i cant get one of them new for a price under 900€. But i really like the thougt of a hackintoshed 17 5570. Do u guys think its a problem that its 17 inch or could I get it hackintoshed.
Here are the specs:
i5 8250u
Intel HD 620 Graphics
8 Gb DDR4 2400 MHz
128 Gb SSD + 1000 Gb HDD
Also here is the link: https://www.notebooksbilliger.de/de..._NAirQKbwY0sy1NWFaIheFPJ8L1g32AkaAroxEALw_wcB

If the 17 inch are a problem i could think of an 15 5570, he has an i7 8550u with HD 630 and a Radeon 530.
Also if u know of any other more safe to install laptops in the same price and technology categorie I would really appreciate if u could tell me.

Read the FAQ so you know what you're getting into...

Oops, thougt 8xxx CPU's are Kabylake.
Anyway, I want to have a Dual Boot System for some Gaming (OSX is for Logic Pro X)and the Built In GPU hasnt as much power as i thougt. I think i will go with an "older" model from Lenovo, the Thinkpad 700 17-isk, here are the the specs:
i5 6300hq
Intel HD 530 + GTX 950m,17 inch, 1920×1080p
8 Gb DDR4 2133 MHz
128Gb PCIe SSD and 1TB HDD( i will replace the HDD with a Samsung 850 EVO V-Nand SSD and install Sierra on this drive)

I found a guide for the Ideapad 700 15-isk, do you think i could use the hot-patch mentioned in this guide? The only big diffrence is the i7 6700HQ i think, and its the same architecture, so do u think this could be possible?

Thanks for any answer :)

Laptop 8xxx are KabyLake... sort of. Officially, Intel calls them KabyLake-R.
Read Intel info:

You're a bit off-topic as this thread is for Dell 17-5570...
But it is possible that the 15-isk and 17-isk are similar enough.
You'll find out when you get it.

I will let the people know if it works in the 15isk thread :)

Hi Enderghul,
Could you make it on 5570? I tried to install High Sierra, it didn't work.

No, because i went for the ideapad 700 in 17inch, and that worked out very well.
What is your problem, eventually I could help.

I only think it's fair that I add my two cents here. I recently (within the last couple of days) got Sierra hackintoshed onto my Inspiron 17 5770 with virtually no trouble. I used normal unibeast, which worked fine. The only issues came from the fact that Dell laptops have a bad habit of not finding UEFI files on bootable USBs, so I had to add clover to the boot menu in bios manually, and my build had a different configuration of RAM. 1 16 GB stick in one of two slots, than what clover was saying, so the mac install would hang on boot. If you come across this issue, manually add your own RAM info to clover using clover configurator. The only other issue you will probably have is that your internal drives need to be set to AHCI and not RAID in bios, or the installer won't see them.

As for your concern that the 17" screen won't work, that was the one thing that has worked without a flaw. Your internals may be a bit different from mine, but for me, the drives, USB ports, Ethernet, optical drive, and bluetooth worked out of the box. The rest I will look for individual kexts for.

Edit: My laptop had AMD Radeon 530 built in, but without changing anything in bios, macOS booted fine and simply ignored it, using only the Intel Graphics.
