I just realized that when I was looking it over...:lol:

Would this be a correct implementation of RECB? (it's probably not and most likely will show my inexperience with AML :p)

Yes, of course you could write it a bit more clear with RECB(0, 2048).

There is no need to write ACPI code like the iasl disassembler does.

That was the compiled AML implementation, and I did use (0, 2048) in the DSL :thumbup:

Hmm...it doesn't seem to be outputting anything, however. The only output from ACPIDebug that I see is my test string :lol:
I'll attach Problem Reporting files.

You're looking at Console.app output for ACPIDebug and what do you see every second?
You might try grabbing only the first 255 bytes from the EC (ignore the last byte at offset 255 with 2040 instead of 2048).

The only thing I see in the system log from ACPIDebug is my test message that I added to make sure that it was working :lol:
The first 255 bytes (2040 instead of 2048) leads to the same result, with no dump...:think:

I might just try starting at 1 byte and working my way up, as there has to be some reason why this isn't working...

EDIT: I get an output of one byte of EC data when I request one byte through RECB! This is progress! :D
Will see how far I can go with this...

Can you access the other bytes in the EC with a larger (non-zero) offset? (eg. grab it in chunks).

You would need to learn about whatever chipset it is being controlled by and then write the appropriate ACPI code (if possible) to access it.
