Dell 7559 - Bios 1.2.7 Update !

Status
Not open for further replies.
Okay so I extracted ACPI origin files wile on the new BIOS, downgraded BIOS, managed to boot into macOS using files from https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-dell-inspiron-15-7559-sierra-high-sierra-install.201576/ I then patched the ACPI files I extracted earlier and made my new USB, reinstalled the new BIOS and I was able to boot, however, only with Legacy enabled. With legacy disabled I still face the issue from post #6. I have attached problem reporting files.

Any change in BIOS options requires re-extract/re-patch.
You should use a USB stick to boot in the case your ACPI/patched content is out-of-sync with native (eg. USB should have no patched ACPI). Then no need to jump around to different versions of BIOS.

It does not have any patch except spoof ssdt as I have reiterated a couple of times.

The files I have attached are from my ssd.

Problem reporting files must represent the actual scenario you are testing.
Again, if you attached the wrong files, you will need to attach correct files.
Attaching EFI/Clover from SSD when you're actually booting from USB implies "wrong files".
The files you attach must accurately represent what you're doing.

None of above worked. Please note that i am applying it to my ssd as I cant seem to access efi on my vanilla usb.

If your USB is GPT, you must mount EFI on it manually (with 'diskutil mount').
It is why most would choose to create the USB with MBR partitioning...

now that I can actually boot I will re-extract and re-patch, thank you for the help everyone!

Progress:
A repatched the ACPI and now everything seems to work fine.
I had to switch to MBP 11,2 SMBIOS (from 11,1) in order to get the CPU working properly (boost to 3,5 Ghz). With 11,1 I wasn`t able to fix it - I tried all methods described in laptop SSDT patching guide.

Issue:
The last issue I have is this error report/KP (code below) after each boot. It happens with both SMBIOSes I tried.
Does anybody know what is the cause?

Yes - it is still the same and I am using EmuVariable. Can you please point me where to start looking about the "RC scripts" problem?

Also I`m not sure which of theese drivers I really need. On the old install I had just:
Code:
EmuVariableUefi-64.efi
FSInject-64.efi
HFSPlus.efi
OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi

RC scripts are available from the Clover installer.
They are required for EmuVariableUefi-64.efi to work correctly.

Problem reporting files must represent the actual scenario you are testing.
