Dont think you need worry about the efi check, its a mac OS check that your EFI firmware is OK, I think Apple does write some stuff to the EFI drive during some updates and it might be checking that, but in any case it is unlikely to have any effect other than the error message. I suspect you can turn off the check but I havnt looked for how.@nicksoph
The error message I get states... "Your computer has detected a potential problem"
And produces an EFI dump, which I haven't studied, but is here...
