Is there any other way I can obtain a copy of El Capitan legally?

Hi raphhyv23. Only legal way is through the Mac App Store.

EDIT: forgot to mention multicast also wouldn't let me create a usb image with the error Cannot mount Install ESD

Yes I meant UniBeast autocorrect. Tried all the steps and still same result i assume the El Capitan File is actually damaged since mounting the ESD dmg manually does the same result. Right now I'm using a different network to download I hope this actually works.

Did downloading El Capitan on a different network work? I hope no news is good news.
