Hello, I apologize as I have read through several guides and am quite confused.
Anyhow I successfully installed 10.11.6 on my Gigabyte Z87n Wifi Mobo with a 4770k. I am using a Nvidia 780 which is recognized under the system screen.
I am trying to get audio to work through hdmi.
Currently my hdmi is connected through the graphics card and working great. While trying to follow the guide and install the clover patch after several attempts I finally figured out I had to hook up the hdmi through my mobo. I did so with port 2 and the screen just goes black and crashed. I tried restarting and it wouldn't boot with the hdmi hooked to the mobo. So had to plug the hdmi back to graphics card.
Please help, i apologize for not knowing a whole lot. I am using the guide HD4600_audio_(dsdt_or_ssdt)_v3-2.pdf. Also what is the difference between dsdt & ssdt. I couldn't complete the steps following the clover part so I am now at a standstill. Thank you very much.
