[Solved] December Sierra update caused blank GUI windows.

Hi there, I would have posted this in November/December when the problem occured, but i've been away from my machine for a while.

Please see my screenshot for a good example of how my MacOS install is missbehaving. Essentially I think I installed a sumplementary update from 10.12.5 to 10.12.6, which seemingly installed fine without any errors.

The login screen works fine, and random applications (which I presume don't use a specific OS library that is broken, ie Firefox) also work fine, however most applications fail to render, either just appearing blank background colour or completely transparent.

I couldn't see anyone else who appears to have these symptoms on here, so i'd be very greatful if anyone can give me any tips/links of things to try.

I have the same problem with my hackintosh @el capitan.
Right now I'm try to update do sierra... we will see.

Fixed by upgrading (by blindly clicking in App Store to update) to High Sierra. This bug is now solved, but I've now got problems like https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...10-13-high-sierra.236962/page-30#post-1702797
