thanks i love the look of these older monitors
needed to be modernized though
if it works ill use it on my g4 build
testing tomorrow

well the monitor works ok but issues with touchscreen controller

well the monitor works great in windows /touch..
osx is a nother story
there are drivers around but ...not knowing the touchscreens chipset makes it a crap shoot
i tried micro touch drivers but no love.
i may have to disassemble the monitor to figure this one out

well the cinema display with touch screen is working in osx and windows..
it turns out that it uses a 3m usb controller...
i got the dmg from there site installed calibrated ,works great on my x58 build...
drivers are lion compatible.....yay(and ml too)


now my mac is a touch screen with gestures working too.....

I just picked up a 20" monitor. 2 of them actually both are kind of in needing repair. I am thinking of gutting new displays as well. Any issues you ran into?

the only issue is the case of old monitor...
unless u get an exact replacement,u may have to mod a bit...
that said its really easy take it slow,make notes on fastener locations,if u have to cut,
less is better(u can ajust later as u go)..

yup the g5 build is on the floor (for now)
mostly using it for media(video and audio)playback
for now at least...

Hows the screen working with OS X ??

works verry well with osx,surprisingly accurate.
great for iTunes use (touch an album then a song)..
picture quality verry good too.
so far so good still testing...
