I'm in the process of gathering the parts to build a CustoMac Pro according to the buyer's guide shopping list.

Parts of build:
•Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming WIFI
•Core i7-8700K
•Corsair H60
•Crucial Ballistix Sport LT (32GB)
•Samsung 860 EVO 500GB
•Corsair RM 650x Watt
•Corsair Carbide 300R
•Sapphire RX 580 Pulse 8GB

Would either of the the ASUS ThunderboltEX 3 PCIe Thunderbolt cards in the buyer's guide work with it?

My ultimate goal is to be able to use my 27" Apple Cinema Display (A1316) with this new build.

Thank you in advance for any advice you could toss this newbie's way. :)

Slight update: Found out Gigabyte makes their own thunderbolt card.

So now I'm wondering if that might work. What do you think? Should I try it?

Since you are going to get a Gigabyte motherboard, I believe it is better to try to get the GC Alpine Ridge (not sure the Titan Ridge you listed will work correctly since it uses a new Intel Thunderbolt chip).

Thank you. :)
After some research over the last couple of days, I came to the same conclusion. Ordered the doo-dad today.
I'll keep the board abreast on how it turns out.
Hey, how is that build going?
I have a super similar build, and finally got the alpine ridge working, though very poorly.
I'm reading the titan ridge works a lot better right out of the box, but I don't know what motherboards are compatible (seems like it's a H370 / z390 thing only).
