Hi Guys,

I've built the 2015 Customac Mini Deluxe to spec - and followed the install instructions verbatim - and I'm getting random freezes and lockups.

I've tried a variety of things - increasing memory voltage to 1.7, changing the profile to iMac 14,2, but still getting random freezes...

My Multibeast selections are:

- Quick Start > DSDT Free
- Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALCxxx > ALC892 Drivers > Disk > 3rd Party SATA
- Drivers > Disk > TRIM Enabler > 10.10.3 TRIM Patch Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC v6.14.1364
- Drivers > Misc > USB 3.0 - Universal
- Drivers > Network > Intel > AppleIntelE1000e v2.4.14
- Bootloaders > Chimera v4.1.0
- Customize > Boot Options > Basic Boot Options
- Customize > Boot Options > Generate CPU States
- Customize > Boot Options > Hibernate Mode - Desktop
- Customize > Boot Options > Kext Dev Mode
- Customize > Boot Options > Use KernelCache
- Customize > System Definitions > Mac Pro > iMac 14,2
- Customize > Themes > tonymacx86 Black

Bios settings are per the guide (with the exception of the increased memory voltage)

Has anyone else experienced this - or have I missed something?

I too have just completed a CustoMac Mini Delux build. See my variations and MultiBeast configuration below. One of my first additions was the Edimax USB adapter. It worked so well that I just left it in place in the bottom USB port on the front of the case. In this situation I do not experience any freeze ups. However when I have a USB flash drive or a USB hard drive (Passport) attached I am plagued with constant freeze ups. It seems worse if the USB device is attached before boot up. It may also depend on the particular USB port being used because on one occasion I unplugged the Passport drive from one port and put it in another and it worked without issue. I wish I had been observant enough to have noted which port gave problems and which did not, but I wasn’t.

I also have sleep/wake issues. If I put the computer to sleep and come back latter I have to do a restart. It boots up so quickly that I usually just shut it down when I’m not going to be using it for a while.

Ok - For anyone else having this problem - I believe I've solved it.

After a lot of trial and error - I've had a lot of success with this configuration. So far not a single crash or freeze. These are the steps I took:

1. I upgraded the Gigabyte BIOS to the latest rev. (currently now rev. F6)

2. I applied these settings to the BIOS.

- Load Optimized Defaults (F7)
- M.I.T. > Advanced Memory Settings > X.M.P. > Profile 1
- Bios Features > VT-d > Disable
- Peripherals > XHCI Mode > Auto (Not Smart Auto)
- Peripherals > EHCI Hand-off > Enable
- Power Management > Wake on LAN > Disable

3. I applied these settings to MultiBeast.

- Quick Start > DSDT Free
- Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALCxxx > ALC892 Drivers > Disk > 3rd Party SATA
- Drivers > Disk > TRIM Enabler > 10.10.3 TRIM Patch
- Drivers > Misc > EvOreboot
- Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC v6.14.1364
- Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC v6.14.1364 Plugins
- Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC v6.14.1364 HWMonitor Application
- Drivers > Misc > USB 3.0 - Universal
- Drivers > Network > Intel > AppleIntelE1000e v2.4.14
- Bootloaders > Chimera v4.1.0
- Customize > Boot Options > Basic Boot Options
- Customize > Boot Options > Generate CPU States <-- Disable This - Important!
- Customize > Boot Options > Hibernate Mode - Desktop
- Customize > Boot Options > Kext Dev Mode
- Customize > Boot Options > Use KernelCache
- Customize > System Definitions > Mac Pro > iMac 14,2
- Customize > Themes > tonymacx86 Black

I now don't have any trouble with this configuration. I can sleep / wake easily, with sound restored after wake, it doesn't freeze or crash.
