I was wondering if my current parts list is compatible with either OS X El Capitan or macOS Sierra. Either one is fine, but I would prefer to go with whichever one is simpler to configure.

Intel - Core i7-4790 3.6GHz Quad-Core Processor
ASRock - H97 Anniversary ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
G.Skill - Ares Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
XFX - Radeon R9 290X 4GB Double Dissipation Video Card
Kingston - SSDNow V300 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
NZXT - Source 530 ATX Full Tower Case
EVGA - SuperNOVA NEX 750W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

Thank you in advanced, and I hope to hear from someone soon! :D:D:D

mine is similar but encounter some many problems. I dont get why
prob because of my 4k monitor. But I switched back to Windows 10 now.

R9 290x wont boot properly, not what I known of.
there are two ways to boot.
1. Connect your monitor to your R9 290X and in bios, set to IGPU boot.
and wait for a while of black screen, then boot ok
2. Connect your monitor to to your HD 4000 and bioot

my motherboard is Z97
so many bugs. too Hard to install audio driver.

when I install audio driver, my DP 4k monitor won't boot. Stuck at apple logo
So I used my DVI 1080 P monitor, boots ok and then I copied the boot file from other user with DP 4k to my current EFI file.
audio works, boots ok, everything works fine

However, everything crashes after a week of sweet time.

My computer suddenly came to a stage where everything gone.
here's what happened

properly boot, but cannot boot in to Sierra, stuck at apple logo.
what I have to do is to repeat.
Use my DVI 1080P monitor to boot and then copy the file.
but I am tired of doing so
so I just did something I didn't know, or I did nothing, im not sure why

my computer crashed, with no booting OS
no Windows,
no OSX
no everything

When I boot,
it says :" No boot device"

I tried different disk, different USB
nothing works

So I installed WIndows 10 again. and got over with Hackintosh

I don't know why but that's what happened

Plus

My computer totally died after that
won't boot, no motherboard Info

the computer just restart it self and shut itself down totally and repeat the process over and over

it scares me a lot

I unplugged everything, Graphics, Ram
and replug in.
Thank god it worked

I just think your machine, which is basically the same as mine,
wont worth the effort you put in.

Windows 10 is great,
but I am still searching for a solution to my problem, hope one day I can do something to re-hackintosh agian
