Comments:

After owning a Macbook for four years now i decided that it's time to get a new mac. I mainly work with Photoshop CS5, InDesign CS5 and Illustrator CS5 so my intention was to get a strong machine which can easily handle big files (especially in PS).
Before i could buy a new one, i was introduced to Hackintoshs and was immediatly blown away. I bought a gaming PC last year, so i realized that i could maybe use some of the parts of it and safe even more money rather than buying a new Mac.
So now, after reading and reading and reading LOTS of threads and guides i finally built my very first hackintosh :)

I chose the hardware which i bought new because i've seen quite a few builds with similar components and they all seemed to work easily.
I wanted to get parts which work perfectly fine with my already owned components.
I didn't buy a new fan though since i'm not going to OC anytime soon i think.

Basically i followed Gordo's Z68 Clean Install Guide (thanks again Gordo, great work for a beginner like me!) and it worked flawlessly!
The only issue i ran into was not being able to log into the Mac App Store or iCloud but i could easily fix that by deleting NetworkInterfaces.plist
and then reboot.

For proper BIOS configuration this guide helped my a lot: http://lnx2mac.blogspot.de/2010/07/optimal-bios-configuration.html

I didn't install Win7 yet but i am definitely going to, because i like to play a good game from time to time.. ;-)

So far everything seems to be working. Dunno about ethernet and USB 3.0 though, didn't use it yet. But i don't see why it shouldn't.

Geekbench scores, screenshots etc are coming soon when i have the time to spend some time with my new lovely Mac Pro :) Probably around thursday..
Comments and questions are welcome! If anything is missing, i apologize so just tell me!

Nice looking build! I, too, have a Fractal R3, and it's so quiet that it's a pleasure to listen to my iTunes selections while working on the computer.

Please don't forget to post a MultiBeast configuration screen snapshot to help others with a similar build in mind.

Enjoy your Hackintosh!

Thank you :)

I agree, the Fractal Case is so quiet, i barely notice it! Definitely worth the price. Plus, it's just gorgeous..
I will add the MultiBeast screenshot as soon as i'm home tonight!

Hey man! Just wondering if you could update the multibeast config picture. Looks like it is broken for me
