When I try and install legit legal owned CS5 InDesign disc on my hackintosh build 10.12.6 I get this message ?

I read about some work arounds going into package contents and running install from there or dragging to terminal and running, but I get same message "not supported on this type of Mac"

Anyone knows what this is about or how to get around it? CS4 will install, so why not CS5?

Hi @starcentral

I am not sure if you have tried this, when i have installed CS5 MC on 10.11.6 and 10.12.6 when i first install and click on any application it gives me a notice in regards to java, file name below.

jre-8u151-macosx-x64

After this install Dreamweaver, flash, photoshop work fine, i will check as i am not sure if i install InDesign as never used it much?

I hope this may help?

Thanks Steve, I found some CS5.5 disks I had in a box and they installed ok for me without the weird errors on CS5. I did read about that java application but never installed it.

Main thing is I'm happy I managed to get my design suite installed on my latest build on my ASUS UX430!!! Nothing could make me happier after my mbp of 7 years failed due to GPU failure/overheating and after that, there is no way I will spend $2000-$3000 on another apple product. Not in my lifetime.

Glad to hear you sorted everything out, and without having to spend stupid ammounts of money on a replacement MBP.

Well happy designing for you, now you have sorted the problem?
