Crash on boot: preemption_level2. possible cause: blocking while holding a spinlock

Hi Guys,

I ran into a weird issue when trying to upgrade or install High Sierra (both result in the same error).

Error is:
preemption_level2. possible cause: blocking while holding a spinlock, or within interrupt context"0/BuildRoot/Library/Caches/Com.apple.xbs/Sources/xnu/xnu-4570.20.62/osfmk/kern/sched_prim.c

System runs stable on Sierra 10.12.6.
Does this ring a bell with anyone?

I have a dual Xeon 2690 system.

I'm trying to hackintosh for the first time, my setup is in the profile.
While trying to install, having the same exact behaviour.
