My build is a
- i7 8700k
- ASRock Phantom z390 gaming
- 2 x 16 GB 3200MHz ram
- 1 x Samsung 970 EVO 500GB (OS X)
- 1 x ASRock Phantom z390 gaming (Windows 10)

I am running OS X Catalina 10.15.2. Everything is working fine, wifi/bt, handoff, even Thunderbolt. My problem is that after sleep the machine crashes and I have to restart manually. This happens usually after more than 4 hours sleep but lately maybe after some minutes. Sometimes it even wakes ok after sleep overnight. So there seems to be little logic here. Here is what I have done:

- locked /var/vm/sleepimage (not writeable)=
- tried all darkwake settings from 0 to 10 with no better success
- custom SSDT (as kext)

Here is my pmset:
Code:
System-wide power settings:
Currently in use:
 standby 1
 Sleep On Power Button 1
 womp 1

I don't have a solution, but I can tell you that my iMac have the same issue.

## update ##
I read this thread about AppleACL kernel panics when waking from sleep. Also a lot of information here. I applied this kernel patch:
Code:
Find: 63 6F 6D 2E 61 70 70 6C 65 00 5F 5F 6B 65 72 6E 65 6C 5F 5F 00
Repl: 6E 6F 74 2E 61 70 70 6C 65 00 5F 5F 6B 65 72 6E 65 6C 5F 5F 00
See post #52 how to enter it in Clover Config.

So it is related to HDMI audio. Strange! As I have read this may be a "band aid" fix but after I applied this patch (only this and no other changes!) I have had no sleep issues for 3 days. I will post if It starts crashing again after sleep.
