My CPU temperature is normally around 35 when 99% idle. But once awhile (every 20 - 60 minutes), the CPU temperature will increase about 10-15c within 2-3minute. CPU fans will then speed up. After 2-3 minutes, CPU temperature goes back to mid-30 range and fans will then slow down.

This is my setup:
i7-4790K/Gigabyte Z97x-ud3h/Gigabyte ATI HD6870/Cosair H60 cpu cooler
Yosemise 10.10.1
Native CPU power management worked. With the help from ssdtPRGen and freqVectorsEdit, speed stepping works fine (8, 17, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44)
No overclocking

I checked the logs and nothing seems to be logged.
Anyone has a clue why this is happening or how could I trace down the issue?

Thanks!

See if any processes / application wake up / startup whenever your CPU temps go up, or it may be inadequate fan control.

Ya, I think there was an issue on how I connected my H60 cooler to the motherboard. Yosemise is not the one to be blamed.
