CPU speed confusion!

Hi Guys,

When over clocking my 3570k on my GA Z77 D3H, i set all my turbo frequencies to 40. The bios then shows my turbo frequency at 4.0ghz and regular speed of 3.4ghz.
I have left everything else default including the voltages on auto. I have the EVO 212 and the bios doesn't show any increases in temp from the 3.8ghz default turbo?
Does this mean that my turbo is now going to run at 4.0?

CPU X along with about this mac still show 3.4ghz, so i am unsure whether my overclock has worked?

No i haven't?

I assumed disabling EIST would simply mean i couldn't use auto voltage?

Why not give it a try - It will take you about 5 minutes to test and revert if it doesn't do the trick.
