hey guys, is there anyway to get my cpu (core i3 Sandy) to run at x31.0 all the time? hardware monitor shows it mainly at x16.0 most times, and it fluctuates to x31.0 and runs at full 3.10GHz every now and then...is there a bios setting or somehting im missing? i have a Gigabyte Z68MA-D2H-B3 board and U1b UEFI bios.

Thx!

The CPU is doing its job perfectly. Its running at x16 when when its idle and it running at x31 when the system needs more power that's called power management.

I have seen people here banging their heads to get the power management working, and here you are trying to get rid of it. lol

+1 to this. What it is doing is what you want. And you are lucky it is doing it natively in OS X :)

I hear you, thx for the replies.
