cpu cooler as fan on case?

Hi guys, im new to the hackintosh thing and Im currently gathering some parts on newegg to build first build. Im making a mini itx by the way. I was thinking since I would like to maybe overclock, since the intel cpus come with a stock cooler and I would like to get a better cpu cooler, could you use the stock intel cpu cooler as a fan that you mount on the case? I looked around on the internet but I couldnt really find much about it.

No thats not possible! The fan is part of the cooler and can't be separated.
