Couldn't install Bootloader/ High Sierra

I found a few other posts with this issue and they they didn't get any resolution either.

I understand that "the destination disk cannot have the same name as any other mounted disk."

Does the macOS download in my applications folder count as a "mounted disk"?

If not then I don't understand the error I'm getting as there shouldn't be another disk with that name besides when Unibeast changes my flash drive name to "Install macOS High Sierra".

Go to top tool bar and right click the apple, drag down to force quit. Look for install HS. If you opened it or it opened after download and you only hit the red close tab it may still be open. You can also do this in Disk Utility by unmounting it. Yes an installer will appear as a disk or drive when it in an open status.

Thanks again for helping me through this.

I went through the process

Thank you again for helping me figure this out.

I ran through the process again this time checking if the install download was mounted and it wasn’t in disk utility or the Force Quit List.

I am getting the same issue using UniBeast 8.3.2, and macOS HS 10.13.6, Downloaded from MacBook Pro running HS.

The installer hangs on Installing Bootloader for hours, I opened the ~/Library/Logs/UniBeast.log file and the same message is appearing.

I navigated to /Volumes/

and here I can see:
Install macOS High Sierra
Install macOS High Sierra 1
Macintosh HD
InstallESD

When I erased the USB again and I navigated to /Volumes/
Install macOS High Sierra
Macintosh HD
InstallESD

I don't know where is this other 'Install macOS High Sierra' coming from I can't see it in the disk utilities.

So I found a solution. I was using my MacBook to create the unibeast usb. I’m not sure why but after doing a clean install of High Sierra on my MacBook I was able to successfully create the usb. The only thing i can think of is that I had used Boot Camp on my laptop previously and maybe my boot drive/vital files were changed. I would suggest trying to use a different computer to create your unibeast usb.

I fixed the issue by making sure that the 'Install macOS High Sierra' is not listed in when i run
diskutil list

I navigated to /Volumes/ and deleted the 'Install masOS High Sierra' folder
sudo rm -rf Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra/

after this UniBeast installed successfully.

Hey all. I've been trying to sort this out for a couple months now (obviously not an expert hacker) I've gone through the troubleshooting and scoured the forums for similar issues. I've had stable builds running Yosemite, Mavericks, Sierra but High Sierra is giving me trouble.

Is there a problem because the OSX base system name and the name unibeast names the usb are the same? "Install macOS High Sierra"?

I'm trying to create this on my macbook and so far I've:
-Used multiple usb drives
-ensured GUID partition
-made sure I have a complete version of High Sierra OS 5.2 Gigabytes

Thank you and I apologize if this is a repeat post.
