Could you utilize the AMD integrated graphics in the new Hades Canyon NUC?

Would a Hades Canyon NUC Hackintosh run well?

If you change to wifi card, could Hades Canyon NUC be a simple golden build?

I changed wifi to BCM94350ZAE its a Dell 1820A Wireless AC. It works great for wifi. Geekbench, Cinebench Luxmark all work without the graphics and I'm able to browse but I have glitchy graphics.

But the Vega and intel graphics so far are not functioning with acceleration.

The AMD vega graphics device ID is 0x694E1002. The AMDRadeon5000.kext and 100000Controller.kext have 0x69AO, and 69AF as the closest device IDs, but they do not work with fake ID injection. I also used the real device ID by editing all the AMD kexts needed and it still won't get recognized or load the drivers.

I have a feeling you will need to use only Intel graphics...

I’ve read that the intel IGPU is disabled for graphics. It is designed to only give quick sync support for the Vega.
I tried various combos with intel device IDs and ig platforms along with your fake pciid Kexts. Nothing activates it other than it listing but it doesn’t even show a 0 for VRAM.

I just used your latest version of MacAisl ( great version update) to create a dsdt and tried gfx0 to IGPU but it crashes the boot. I’m thinking a dsdt or ssdt may be the only way to get aceleration by changing the pcie configuration to fake a normal pcie slot card. Any thoughts? NUC files.zip

after updating to the last Bios first, works like a Charm...
At Stock Speed 18224 GB4 multi-core https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/8588548
At 4.5Ghz all Cores 19405 GB4 https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/8599977
and 5822 Single-Core Score https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/8600061
Fastest Mac Mini ever!! As it should have been...
With Samsung 970 EVO SSD NVME right out of the Box recognise with Apple ssd original driver and Trim score 3000 MB/S read speed and 2400MB/S Write speed on Black Magic Disk speed and AJA Disk Speed test....
WAOW....
No problem to sign in Apple Account and download all my softwares!! out of the box....
No sound yet, but don't care, i use USB natively compliant sound card perfectly recognise
all USB port works, even the USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 at 900MB/S read speed measured with Black Magic on my SanDisk Extreme 900 !!
No graphic hardware support yet, don't care, don't play on Mac, No slow down caused with this issue with my Audio DAW Pro software: Logic Pro X 10.4.1 Cubase 9 or Studio One 4 !!!
Would say as George Clooney... What else?... do i need ... Nothing sir... everything perfect... thank you intel, thank you Apple and thank you TonyMacx86 for making that possible... ( for 999$ only the Nuc, plus 970EVO plus RAM of course at your choice)

Yes WiFi cards work well for this Nuc, however there is still no acceleration for graphics. It’s a miracle it doesn’t crash when browsing but if you load it up with any moderate graphics task it will crash. An external GPU AMD may make it work well but for the price you can build it buy a different NUC or MiniITX setup that has working graphics.

Unless apple adds drivers for this chipset IMO it’s not a good bargain buy. If you have the money and want to get an EGPU then it could be a good system but that kinda takes away from the MINI aspect of it.

NOT if the graphics are not accelerated.
This gives others misleading info that this new NUC works "perfect" when it does not.
Whether you need accelerated graphics or not...it is not "perfect".

Sorry, you're right!
i meant "for me" of course!
For audio it's a beast!

the best score under Mojave for the Intel Core i7-8809G compare to any platform( even Linux!)!

Now that the October 30 Apple event is underway, there is a lot of chance that the Mac mini renewal, announced "not abandoned" at all, even by apple themselves, will be there, and the vega chip with new coffee lake intel processor seem to be the more eligible affordable integrated solution to get it out!
