AHCI mode is called Enhanced...from the manual

ATA/IDE Configuration
Please select [Compatible] when you install legacy OS (Windows® NT). If
native OS (Windows® 7 / VistaTM / XP) is installed, please select [Enhanced].

You might try swapping the DVD/HDD ports as some motherboards are picky when installing Snow Leopard

can i install mac os x snow after selecting enhanced mode...
does my config. support mac os x ????????????/

Snow Leopard.......

You should also know that Intel Integrated Graphics are not fully supported, once you get everything els working, you might want to consider a graphics card.

Specifically QE/CI don't work and graphics resolution is limited among other things.

QE=Quartz Extreme

CI=Core Image

Snow Leopard.......

okay thanks
one more thing you said that
""' if you do a search ,it would appear that sl can be download on your board'""
"it would appear" means is there any doubt about sl installation.

I do not have any personal experience with the Asrock board.

It is reported in the Forums that other people have installed it, but that the LAN (Ethernet chip set) was not supported at the time of the post. So, while I cannot with absolute certainly state it can be installed, it appears to have been done and therefore you should be able to do so if you keep at it, use the install guide and read the posts of those who have installed it for hints.

one more thing when i insert iboot cd it does not show any chameleon ver.
rather it show anVAL V5.1.4 R 709
DOES THIS MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE IN INSTALLATION

rather it show <anVAL> V5.1.4 R 709 for iboot legacy and <chimera> ver for iboot universal
