I'd be very surprised to see any of the "smart cooling" or "smart power supply" software, not to mention Windows-based overclocking utilities, ever show up in an official Mac OS X version. Maybe the protocols are simple enough that some Hackintosher can figure out how to write an equivalent? A Linux driver may be relatively close and require only minor tweaking? Why would the manufacturers ever bother to write Mac drivers- these products will, by definition, never appear in an official Mac - unlike PCIe cards for which drivers show up because of the Mac Pro, there is NO Apple product that has a choice of fans or power supplies.

So what if I don't plan on dual booting and I wish for it to function normally? (as in i dont care about fancy LED settings, but I need it to perform reliably and do what it's supposed to do as a cooler) Would I just unplug the USB connection in this case? What do I lose in doing so? Sorry for all the questions ^.^" thanks!

You can't change the RPM on the fans. That's it. I think the stock RPM and temp settings are fine though, so it's not necessary. However, I advise you to order SP120 quet edition fans to replace the stock fans. The stock fans/fan engines have this annoying high pitch whining noise. You can hear it clearly even if you have music on (semi-low volume). Really suck during the night.

Did any of you got the Link software working under VMware? Windows sees the cooler but doesn't read anything.

Hey guys. I want to CONFIRM that the Corsair Link software DOES WORK in vmware, simply attach the "Corsair Integrated USB" from the USB and Bluetooth menu, it works like a dream. In fact, enjoy this screenshot xD

I tried everything and it doesn't work.
Corsair is connected to VM in USB settings. Running XP and VMF 5.03. Did you add something else?

Wait, I believe the SP120 fans are 3 pin fans, and the waterblock has 4 pins, are they compatible like motherboards? or will they not work?

SP120 fans work fine. I installed my quiet edition fans today. Tried without the resistors at first, but they were a bit too loud for my ears. The resistors are 4 pin to 3 pin too, so no problems.

Got it to work under Win7 in VMware. I can confirm it's fully functional.
