I have been salvaging parts for some time, waiting for the right moment to pull it all together. The end result is a multi-generation macintosh with a non-apple motherboard.
Parts include:
1. G4 Cube outer case (core was missing)
2. P8700 2.53Ghz Core 2 Duo from an iMac or macbook (I forget)
3. G4 eMac case fan (pretty silent) and power connector
4. iMac (white) wifi card
5. MacBook bluetooth card
6. 8Gb RAM
7. 1.5Tb SATA
8. Apple white remote
9. iMac "Ruby Red" case used to make a new case logo.
10. Jetway NC64 mini-ITX motherboard with integrated GeForce 9100M
11. 250W power supply placed internally
The internals are all routed on a small CNC homebrew machine with a dewalt 10Krpm setup. The power supply is INTERNAL, so there is no brick.
I have it loaded with XBMC and use it as a media player.
