What risk am I'm putting myself into in a current CustoMac Budget ATX project if I need to choose another processor in the List of CPUs like the i5-4690, i5-4690K or the i5-4590, if I can't get hold of the i5-4460? Out of stock here at the moment.
They're all Socket-LGA1150 and at 84W, except the 4690K which is 88W. Is this is enough to make it likely they can all take the place of the 4460?
Or is the CustoMac Budget ATX selections made with only 2 alternatives because the mentioned replacements from the CPU lists simply isn't compatible or hasn't been verified for OS X and the Gigabyte GA-Z97M-D3H mother board?
I' d appreciate how some advice on how you can investigate the options in this situation when one part can't be gotten hold of.
Thank you.
