Hey guys, I'm brand new to the whole hackintosh world. I got my Catalina hackintosh up and running about 5 months ago, and now I'm trying to update to Big Sur to keep things running smoothly since I have noticed some bugginess recently on my Catalina machine.

After trying to install Big Sur, it gets stuck on the install.
Is it an issue with my config.plist?

I'm running:
Motherboard - Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming
CPU - Intel Core i5 (Coffee Lake)
Graphics Card - Radeon RX 580

Thank you guys in advance for the help!

You would be better off slogging through OpenCore to get BigSur running then persisting with Clover. While there are many sample OpenCore EFIs for your chipset they will all be for a prior version as OpenCore is updated frequently, the current version being 6.7--the versions are not interchangeable, basic files needed to boot and the structure of the configp can change between versions. I am typing this in BigSur using OpenCore 6.7 on a Z490 motherboard with a 10th gen Intel CPU so its doable but will be frustrating. With OC it all works or it doesn't work at all so once up and running less tinkering later as there can be with Clover.

Try this one
updated to 6.7
