I was trying to update to Yosemite and accidentally edited /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plistby adding these two lines of code<key>Kernel</key> <string>/System/Library/Kernels/kernel</string> without thinking too much about it. It fixed the USB problem of it saying it "couldn't find mach_kernel but the USB still doesn't boot, it shows "This bootloader is not supported" it flashes the apple logo before restarting the computer.

For my Mavericks, when I boot with -v I get this follow error screen. Is there any way to fix this issue or perhaps fix both of my problems? I really don't want to do a fresh install and lose all my photos and Final Cut Pro projects.

Anyone know a work around to boot back into Mavericks without it trying to find a kernel that's not even there?

Try booting with -v -x -f -F
