Hi everyone. I just managed to get a full installation of Maverick to complete combined with this hardware

  1. GA-X79-UD3
  2. 4820K
  3. 16GB RAM
  4. Radeon 5870 * 2 (two cards)
  5. I also have the ability to switch to one GTX760

But the computer is extremely slow, if I move the mouse it takes almost 1 second until the cursor starts to move. Starting a program also takes alot of time. Rendering a window seems to take ages. Its like Im on a 386 or worst.

Do you guys have any suggestions what I could do?

Is this a common problem?

First of all, wow you got it running! I can't even boot! I just want to know if you had to do anything special to get mavericks to boot with your processor. I have the same one, but different motherboard and video card. When I boot I get the apple logo. That's all, nothing else. Boot flags are useless against it. I am no w trying frantically to get some grasp oh what the problem is and how to fix it. Please help me out!

Guide on making first boot would be nice. Did you change BIOS, what flags did you use to boot up and what method....

Hi, I just read your comment.. Did you got the sound ALC898 working?
