Computer can't be "verified" by Apple.....

What is the difference between the org.chamelion.boot.plis and
the symbios.plist which is also in the same folder.

The serial number shown on About This Mac is for a real mac pro built in 2008 with an Xenon processor and specs different from mine. Maybe this is why Apple is rejecting this machine and won't allow downloads from the App Store.

No, that file was not included in the .plist.

Is there any place or format that needs to be followed in adding this?

Thanks for the help.

There is an option in MultiBeast that will add it for you. Take a look.

You can also use it as a temporary boot flag when Chimera loads.

When I realized I had this problem, lots of googling and browsing this forum gave me lots and lots of different solutions.

The first thing I tried was simple - I removed all the network devices under System Preferences and rebooted. I either then added back just the Ethernet LAN adapter or it did it for me during startup (I forget, sorry).

After that the problem was gone. It was because of what was the first Ethernet device under the Sys Prefs -> Network page. For me it was my firewire adapter, but for the "verify" to work it needed to be the actual LAN adapter.

Yep, that sounds like what's happening here. Can fix that.

Thanks
