Hi

I'm actually still getting issues that I'm struggling to resolve.

On my DH67BL mobo, EasyBeast isn't giving me video support. It's giving me a 800x600 display and when I adjust this res to 1920x1080p, it's not filling my screen; giving me about a 2 inch gap on the left.

So trying to follow the combinations to install ML I've found that, BridgeHelper seems to get me audio but UpdateHelper seems to kill the Keyboard and mouse on startup for about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes they both work fine.

So any suggestions for me, please?

Intel DH67BL
i7-2600k
ATI Radeon 5570 HD

Thanks.

Why are you using BridgeHelper and UpdateHelper for ML? Check out the links I provide a few posts up. And maybe do a search in the ML desktop support forum for "DH67*" ... you will find a thread there where I helped someone get their DH67CL running.

You don't need update helper if you have installed Lion. Update Helper was to get Sandy Bridge ready to go from 10.6.7 to 10.6.8.

Try building your UniBeast USB with BridgeHelper 4.0.1 from http://www.tonymacx86.com/downloads.php?do=cat&id=9

Only run BH 5.0 after you have gotten to desktop after installing.
What worked for me:
Create UniBeast USB with UB, OS X 10.7.2 download, run BH 4.0.1 on the UniBeast USB.
Boot with UniBeast USB
Install OS X, reboot after installation as normal,
Boot with the UniBeast USB as if I was going to install again
open terminal at install screen and run diskutil list to verify HDD partition install is on
delete the mach kernel on the HDD partition root I just installed to
Exit terminal and OS X installer and reboot, this time selecting the OS X icon at the Chimera screen
Comes back an error - can't find mach_kernel - just like it is supposed to
hi-lite the UniBeast USB and hit enter - it boots its mach_kernel and I get to desktop
immediately run BridgeHelper 5.0 and MultiBeast.

On my Intel DH67GD, I was able to install 10.7.5 and 10.8.2 without using BridgeHelper (I don't know what it does, but it isn't needed for this family of motherboards from Intel).

I just used Unibeast to create USB flash drive, booted from it and installed like normal.

Description of what I did is here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-...-dh67gd-core-i7-2600k-hd3000-ml-10-8-2-a.html

Here is another thread where I walked someone else through all the steps: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-...stall-ml-intel-dh67cl-i7-2600-amd-6850-a.html

The biggest problem with getting this board to work is primarily that it will not boot to a GPT drive (it will boot but only if you select it manually every boot -- it will not choose to boot a GPT disk automatically). So, you either have to patch the installer to install to MBR or change from GPT to MBR after the fact using gdisk.

Side note: I do something else entirely... I have Win7/Win8 on an MBR disk that I have stage0 chimera installed on. That MBR disk is my boot disk, and it allows me to keep my ML/Lion/Ubuntu disk in GPT but still selectable with Chimera. To do this you have to have two disks though (I have 2x 256GB SSDs). In order to get Chimera installed this way, you have to install the stage0 boot0md to the boot record manually, as the install script for Chimera is not up to the task.

Also, you will want to pay attention to my DSDT patches, which as far as I know, are the only ones that solve the issue with a big (2-3 minute) delay when the computer goes to sleep.

BridgeHelper was to get you "over the hump" when installing with the Lion 10.7.0 kernel. You needed the 10.7.1 for some boards and BridgeHelper replaced the original kernel with the one from the MBP update back in the summer.

If you have downloaded 10.7.5 and make your UniBeast from that download, you don't need BridgeHelper at all.

Thanks for the info...

You also don't need BridgeHelper to install ML. Which is what 'poadb' is doing...

Hi, since you're online, do you fancy doing a TeamViewer setup with me?

I'm afraid I'm still at a loss. :(

I think I require a more concise guide for my board; in baby steps.

At the moment, I have done another fresh install and rebooted. Keyboard and mouse work immediately in ML, but ML complains that it does not recognize my keyboard and wants to run the wizard.

I know, from many previous attempts that:

1) EasyBeast will break the graphics and network which are currently working from a fresh ML install. The DSDT from Rehab's website renamed to DSDT.aml doesn't help.
2) BridgeHelper will give me audio support.
3) UpdateHelper, which I realise is only for Lion/Ivy Bridge will break my keyboard and mouse and give me a 10 minute delay in use.

What's the guidance for my board, please? In baby steps, if you can?

Many thanks in advance.

That is normal -- it is what OS X does when it sees a new keyboard. Go through the Wizard. Do what it asks.

You don't need EasyBeast. It installs all kinds of things you don't need/want. The DSDT I have on my repo is an *unpatched* DSDT just for reference (it was what I was using when I created the patches). You need to follow the instructions for patching your own. There are instructions on the home page of the repo in the README.md.

2) BridgeHelper will give me audio support.
3) UpdateHelper, which I realise is only for Lion/Ivy Bridge will break my keyboard and mouse and give me a 10 minute delay in use.
You also don't need either of these. It seems pretty clear from the descriptions for these tools in the Downloads section that these tools are for 10.7.4 (BridgeHelper) and for updating to 10.6.8 (UpdateHelper). You are installing ML, 10.8.x.

What's the guidance for my board, please? In baby steps, if you can?

Many thanks in advance.
I intend to write a step-by-step in my original post in the guide... Watch for it.
