Hello,

I am planning to run a Mac OS X server on my GA-EP45-UD3P. Right now all the SATA connectors are taken, and I would need further two hard disks.

What would be a recommended SATA II (3.0 Gbps) controller? No need for RAID, just a plain SATA controller that works (if possible out of the box) with Mac OS X Snow Leopard, and hoping to work as well with Lion.

Is this any good? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816124026&Tpk=SYBA%20SY-PCX40009

Tks!

That card is a PCI-X not a PCI card. I do not know if your motherboard has a PCI-X slot but I could be wrong.
Thanks for the heads-up! Indeed my board does not have PCI-X :/

Maybe these ones would do (both PCI Express). They both mention they are Mac Pro compatible.

Anyone using these or any other SATA PCI Express controller on your Hackintoshes?

Tks!
