Compatibility older motherboard newer graphics card

Maybe it's a stupid question, sorry for that, but I want to buy the right card.

I have a GA-Z77X-UD5H motherboard
Is that compatible with a MSI N760 TF 2GD5/OC graphic card?
The card is currently on the buying guide december 2014.

Yes you can use the card if you are on Mavericks or Yosemite. Don't think Mountain Lion has support for it, but I could be wrong - wouldn't be the first time
